STATUTORY DECLARATIONS

Although Justices of the Peace may still witness these documents they are NOT the only class of person that may witness one. For example a Chemist may witness a Statutory Declaration under the new act.

For your convenience there are a range of people (shown right) that are authorised to witness these documents that you may find more convenient to seek out.

Click here to print out a Statutory Declaration form
The form contains  the list shown right.

Statutory Declarations are now covered by the "Oaths, Affidavits and Statutory Declarations Act 2005".

If you are one of the persons authorised to witness statutory declarations you should read this.

Some documents from overseas may also require a Notary Public and not a West Australia  Justice of the Peace.

Should you require further information phone the Registrar at RAJWA 9425 2825
